New Book to Launch in SVG: VCPI

401 Vincy Caribbean Proverbs — coming soon

Well, it's time for a sneak peek — a new book is about to launch in sweet St. Vincent. “401 Vincy Caribbean Proverbs” was written by Vincentian “Teacher Morgan”, owner and founder of Morgans' Institute for Learning and Development (MILAD).

MILAD was founded on 1 August 1992 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines by a young and proactive Vincentian-bred schoolteacher, Nigel Anthony Morgan. It was conceived out of the need at the time to give academic support to elementary-school-age students in rural villages who needed to pass the entrance examination for secondary school. The first class started with a single schoolgirl from a poor family — and she excelled beyond everyone's expectations in the entrance examination, earning a place at one of the top secondary schools in the country.

That success story quickly spread throughout the rural area. The next semester, parents and teachers from other rural communities were seeking Teacher Morgan's private academic services to get their children into secondary school. Since then, the records reveal a 100% pass rate for his class every year, with his students entering top schools. He soon became known as Teacher Nigel Morgan, and his outstanding academic contributions prevailed throughout the island. In time, parents and teachers also sought remedial reading classes for their children, and he never turned anyone down. His fees were minimal — just enough to help people reach their destiny in life. Countless students have passed through his hands successfully and are making worthwhile contributions to society today.

Since 2004 — the era of the National Education Revolution in St. Vincent and the Grenadines — many adults have also sought him privately for remedial reading classes, consistently succeeding in mastering the basic reading skills.
