Je t'aime 2025 Review by Jeronnie Richardson and Shereka Danzine-Stephens

An enchanting evening under the stars, filled with soul-stirring music, electrifying performances, and pure elegance—Je t’aime 2025 was nothing short of a magical masterpiece. Hosted by Walt Carter Soundz, this highly anticipated event exceeded expectations, offering an experience that blended luxury, artistry, and unfiltered musical brilliance. As first-time sponsors, we were not only impressed—we were completely immersed in the beauty of it all.

A Venue That Transcended Expectations
Some questioned the choice when the Botanical Gardens was announced as the venue, but should have never doubted!
From the moment we arrived, the open-air setting, surrounded by nature, felt like stepping into a dream. The soft glow of string lights, the romantic floral arrangements, and the cool evening breeze created the perfect backdrop for a night dedicated to love and music. Je T’aime 2025 wasn’t just an event—it was an experience.
Unforgettable Performances That Left Us Breathless
Before the music even began, event organiser Walt Carter took the stage to share his inspiring eight-year journey—a mission to build a platform for emerging talent while celebrating the legends who paved the way. From that moment, it was clear that this night would be something special. Even the master of ceremonies surprised us with his voice. A pleasant surprise by Damion McTair.
Saeed Bowman: The Maestro of the Pan—Saeed Bowman’s command of the steel pan was masterful, delivering melodies that were both soothing and exhilarating. His precision and artistry reminded the audience why the steel pan remains an iconic and cherished instrument in Caribbean music.
Jabez Matthews & Ajeah Hope: A Harmonious Masterpiece -Their duet was magical, a perfect fusion of harmonies that resonated with deep emotion. Both Jabez and Ajeah also had standout solo performances, highlighting their vocal range and individual artistry.
Bongo Prime - Bongo Prime brought an undeniable presence to the stage, keeping the audience engaged with his infectious energy and dynamic delivery.
Krystian Mark & Halei Douglas - Both delivered smooth, heartfelt vocal sets. Krystian provided a ‘laid back’ old school vibe with songs for the most experienced. Halei’s wardrobe reminded me of a Disney movie—the golden flowing dress with a left sleeve blowing in the wind was simply magical.
Special Guest: Nathaniel Fisherman – A Standout Performance
If the audience was unsure of what to expect from Trinidadian sensation Nathaniel Fisherman, that uncertainty melted away within seconds.
From the very first chime of his hypnotic refrain—"Je t’aime, Je t’aime, Je t’aime baby oh, Je t’aime, Je t’aime, Je t’aime"— he had the audience hanging onto every note. Not only did he showcase his effortless vocal control, but he also pushed the band to showcase their true versatility—and they delivered spectacularly.
Nathaniel’s smooth transitions, rich tones, and natural stage presence made it impossible to look away. He didn’t just sing a song—he created a musical moment that will be remembered long after the night was over.

Fya Empress – A Vocal Powerhouse
If there was ever an artist who truly owned the stage, it was Fya Empress. From the moment she stepped up to the mic, she exuded confidence, control, and sheer vocal power. Her performance was a masterclass in stage presence, with every note delivered flawlessly and every lyric filled with passion.
It wasn’t just about the vocals—her charismatic energy, audience engagement, and ability to deliver a powerful narrative through song solidified her as one of the standout performers of the night.

Artistic Innovation: Spoken Word Meets Dance
A refreshing highlight was the spoken word piece by Adrian Constance, accompanied by a breathtaking dance performance from Joel Bute and his partner, Tia Martindale. The fusion of poetry and movement brought a new dimension of artistry to the evening, reminding us that music isn’t just heard—it’s felt.
Walt Carter – The Mastermind & The Maestro
The highly anticipated performance by Walt Carter was nothing short of masterful. As the visionary force behind Je t’aime, Walt didn’t just orchestrate an unforgettable event—he took to the stage and delivered a performance that embodied the very essence of the night: passion, love, and musical excellence.
Not just a singer, but a musician – Walt showcased his skill behind the keyboard, effortlessly playing intricate melodies while delivering soul-stirring vocals. Watching him command both the mic and the keys felt like witnessing a true artist at work.
Having had the pleasure of watching Walt grow from learning the keyboard to becoming one of SVG’s best keyboardists, I could not help but feel inspired to better my own craft.
Walt Carter is not just the mastermind behind Je t’aime; he is its heartbeat. His talent, vision, and passion for music were on full display, making Je t’aime 2025 a truly unforgettable night.

Final Thoughts – A Must for 2026!
Much like Steel Expressions, Je t’aime has solidified itself as one of SVG’s premier cultural showcases. With breathtaking performances, a stunning venue, and an unforgettable guest experience, Je t’aime 2025 earns a well-deserved 5/5 rating.
