Beyond Boundaries 2025: Empowering Students Through Literacy and Faith

Jazz Poetry Foundation 2025 Book Drive poster.

The Jazz Poetry Foundation, a Christian organisation rooted in the values of faith, education, and community, continues to inspire change across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. With the belief that every child deserves both academic and biblical literacy, the Foundation works alongside schools and partners to empower young people to learn, grow, and lead with purpose.

On September 18, 2025, the Foundation hosted its 2nd annual “Beyond Boundaries” Book Drive — a two-day outreach initiative dedicated to students in underserved and rural areas. This year’s focus extended to:

  • Sandy Bay Secondary School (Georgetown)

  • Petit Bordel Secondary School (Petit Bordel)

Each school received:

100 textbooks

Essential school supplies

Bible tracts to encourage faith alongside education

These contributions reflect the Foundation’s broader mission: bridging the gap in educational access and ensuring students have the resources to thrive. With the right tools, students are empowered not only to achieve academically but also to strengthen their character and transform their communities.

Partnerships that Power Change

This year’s book drive was made possible through the steadfast support of community-minded sponsors:

  • FLOW St. Vincent – fully funded the stationery distributed to both schools, ensuring every student received the supplies they needed.

  • GECCU Ltd. – official apparel sponsor, outfitting the outreach team with branded shirts to represent the mission in style.

  • Smithy Rentals – provided safe and reliable transportation to Georgetown and Petit Bordel.

These collaborations remind us that when businesses, organisations, and communities unite, real transformation happens.
